I have ridden in the heat and the rain. It definitely keeps the seat cooler and me drier. It also looks sharp. This was a good addition for me to help with summer heat in Phoenix. I think it may also help in the cold, but I have heated seats. Also, in a rain storm, I felt drier and the seat had good grip. The seat was also drier after parking it in the rain. The shape of the front seat means the fabric in the middle does not sit down fully when i am not sitting on it. I think that will get better with use, but it still looks fine and works great when in use. In fact, the fabric being further from the seat may actually keep the seat cooler when parked in the sun. The other thing is my bike has a very tight fit between the front and passenger seats. This makes it difficult to reinstall the passenger seat with the Wind Rider on it. So, I took mine off because I rarely have a pillion. It still looks nice with the cover only on the main seat, but nice to have the other part should I need it.
Initially thought that it wouldn’t fit the seat but once one and started to conform the seat contours, it has moulded exactly. It has increased seat height and makes it the perfect riding position. The addition has made the seat more comfortable and looking forward to seeing how it copes with the summer heat.
Perfect fit
The Wind Rider seat cover made a huge increase in comfort on my Indian FTR. The seat is close to the rear cylinder and gets very hot, especially in stop-and-go traffic. The Wind Rider seat cover allows air flow between the seat and the rider, significantly reducing the temperature to the rider's bottom. And the seat cover also increases seating comfort by itself. I have and have had Wind Rider seat covers on five motorcycles and they improved comfort on all.
Almost a perfect fit, just a little short on each side towards the front. Still breaking it in but I have high hopes it will reduce the heat and keep my backside dry when riding through rain. I didn’t like the backrest cover because it pushed me to far forward and changed my ride. Fingers crossed this will prevent the need for me to buy a new seat.

Hard to install with the two part seat the straps go where the plunger is. Had to install the front... ride it forna day to settle them install the passenger seat. Works great. Happy with the purchase
Fitted perfectly. Great feel, comfort & grip under the arse. Cool on the hottest day so far this year & looking forward to greater comfort over the coming hotter months. Only concern is where it appears to rub on the heel of the tank. I’m going to apply some polyurethane paint protection film to take care of this. Good product, well priced.

The delivery was strange. It was delivered on the date promised but at midnight.
We live in south central Texas where current temps have been +/-100 degrees with feel like temps in the 105+ range. Bought this seat cover with the hope that it would be easy to install and provide added ventilation for upcoming trips on a 2026 Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT. Due to another issue, I had the dealership install it. The first thing I noticed was that it did not fit the seat as shown in pictures on the website - it partially covered (around 2-3 inches) the fuel lid compartment making it difficult to access without having to hold the compartment door open. I figured the dealership installed it as quickly as possible and didn’t pay attention to detail such as that. The following day, I took the seat off the bike and found the reason why it didn’t fit – where the front of the seat is curved, the material doesn’t curve with the seat – it’s straight across. Almost like it wasn’t made for the seat. The picture I provided is under the seat and shows the contour of the seat and the seat cover. To fix it, I stapled the material around the contour of the seat. So, if you’re looking for a seat cover that requires no modifications to install it – this is not the product for you. After installing it, we took a 6-and-a-half-hour ride in 100-degree weather to further ‘test’ it. Overall, it performed well. Ventilation was okay. My butt didn’t get wet when sitting on it after it rained. It wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped – the material felt rough even through my pants. Would I buy it again...? Not sure I can say I would.
Did struggle initially, once I contacted Wind rider they were able to advise correct fitting instructions. Because there wasn't any cut outs for seat and back rest mounts I had to make small holes to accommodate grab handles and seat mounting bolts.
I should have paid more attention to the reviews. It seems like the covers made for 1 piece seats are better made - at least they fit. I have a 2 piece seat and could not even begin to get the front cover on my seat. It's about 2 inches too short and then when the straps are in place, interfere with the latch to reset my seat. Looking at other reviews with 2 piece seats, I see there are a lot of reviews with the same issue. I've asked for a refund - but looking at other reviews and the lack of response by the seller, I may have to just dispute the charge through my CC company.

The main reason why I bought the cover is that we ride a lot two up and my partner kept sliding on me,which was very irritating.I say « was » because your cover fixed this,no more sliding,I was almost in tears of joy.You sell a great product,best $100 and some dollars I spent in recent memory.
Went on plenty tight. Set on to stretch and had to cut slot for back rest. You can fill air traveling through and after setting in sun for several hours you can set on without getting hot. Makes it really nice
True to advertising was cool to the touch in 113 degree heat. Also kept rear end dry in rain. Love it and been telling and showing fellow bikers.

I can't explain why or how but it truly makes the seat considerably more comfortable.
I could not get the seat cover to lay down flat on the seat. The return policy said if I want a refund it has to be unused. So I was unable to try setting on it trying it out. I felt because it wouldn’t set flat on the seat it would only get looser over time. So I decided to send back. For a Honda Goldwing I believe a few more straps would help or placed in different areas of the seat cover. It just seemed a little big.
Probably the best accessory investment yet for my Honda SCL500. I was actually very surprised at how much more comfortable and “dry” my rides are even in this Carolina heat and humidity! Well done and love it!
As I said earlier they don’t fit. I can’t bolt the seat on the holes won’t line up. I would like my money back please

Wife and I both have one, my street glide fitted perfectly strait up but my wife's x500 did not, correspondence was excellent and replacement sent out, another perfect fit. We have had a lot of admirers asking about them, we love them, so comfortable, can feel the cool air flowing through the fabric. Highly recommend, do yourselves a solid favour. Also got the padded bike shorts, I nicknamed them pullups😅 honestly perfect combo.
The cover is way too big. I told Trish? that and she responded by telling me they need to be tight and it takes a little finesse to do it. Are you kidding me? She didn’t listen and she didn’t look at the pics I sent. I’m out on my trip and no longer need it. I want a refund.

How do I know it'll fit my exact year, make, and model?
Every cover is cut for one specific bike. Choose your year, make, and model in the dropdown above. The pattern matches the OEM seat profile so the cover sits flush on the seat instead of stretching over a generic shape. If your bike is not listed in the dropdown, contact us before you order and we will work with you to make one.
What's the install process? Do I need any tools?
Velcro straps loop under the seat and fasten back to themselves. About 5 minutes start to finish. No tools, no drilling, nothing permanent to the bike. If you pull the cover off later, the OEM seat underneath is exactly as it was.
Can I return it if it doesn't fit or I don't like it?
Yes. 30 day guarantee. If the cover does not fit your bike or you do not like it on the bike, send it back within 30 days for a full refund.
Does it cover cracked or damaged OEM vinyl?
Yes. The cover sits flush over the existing seat surface and hides cracks, sun fading, and small tears. The mesh and vinyl layer on top also protects the foam underneath from new sun and water damage, so the seat does not keep getting worse.
Does the cover hold up in rain or after a wash?
Yes. The mesh drains water through to the seat shell underneath. After a rainstorm or a wash, the surface air dries in minutes. You can machine wash it, rinse with a garden hose, or pressure wash on a low setting. Then ride.
How do I clean it after a dusty ride?
Rinse with a garden hose or wipe with a damp cloth. Air dry. No special cleaner needed. Dust passes through the open mesh structure instead of caking into it, so the cover does not collect grime the way a flat pad would.
Does it work for both rider AND passenger?
Depends on the bike. Touring bikes with a split rider and passenger seat usually have separate covers available, and you can order one or both. Single seat configurations and most cruiser solo setups cover the rider position by default. The product page lists the exact options for your year and model.
How long does it last with daily use?
The mesh is a high tensile polyester woven to hold its raised structure under repeated load. With daily riding it stays springy and intact for years. The vinyl edges and velcro straps are built to outlast the mesh, so the whole cover ages as one unit. No special storage needed. Leave it on the bike year round.
